Military aerobatic display teams in the world can be categorized into two types. One of them is the U.S. style; using the small number of supersonic aircraft like the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels. The other is the European style; using around 10 subsonic or transonic aircraft. The Snowbirds is in the latter type. The Japanese Blue Impulse may not belong to one of the types after they obtained T-4s.
