Museum of Flight

Seattle, WA, USA — October 2007

The Museum of Flight is located between the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the downtown Seattle. The main entrance looks like the one on East Marginal Way South, but is the one facing the Bowing Field. There are no large coin-operated lockers in the museum, but a clerk would keep your luggage in a store room. You could go to the museum directly by taxi before going to the downtown. There are admission fees ($14 per adult in 2007). There are many aircraft, but personally, I expected more aircraft because the museum was next to Boeing

This is the world's first fighter built in 1914. The machine gun is mounted above the propellers to avoid shooting them. I guess that it was really difficult to hit targets.

It is not easy to take good pictures of the warbirds in the museum because they are displayed such dark rooms.

There are several large aircraft outside in the Airpark, such as this Concorde. You can enter those aircraft. However, the Airpark closes earlier than the museum building. Please remember to check the closing time, otherwise you will not be able to enter the Airpark like me...

The G.91 is an Italian attack. It was intended to use in NATO in the beginning, but was only adopted by three: the Italian Air Force, West Germany's Luftwaffe, and the Portuguese Air Force because of political considerations. The Italian aerobatic team, the Frecce Tricolori, used it from 1963 to 1982.
